I found this recipe from this raw-foodist guy with dreadlocks, and it turned out pretty amazing. It’ll definitely be a go-to salad from now on, since its so easy, delicious, and filling, not to mention ridiculously healthy.
- 2 heads of kale (washed and chopped into small pieces)
- 1 1/2 cup raw peas raw
- 4-6 avocados (depending on how creamy you want it)
- 6 heirloom tomatoes
- 1/4 bag of dulse (can buy at whole foods in the seaweed section)
- Juice of 3 lemons
Here’s all you need to do:
Combine the kale, peas, and small pieces of dulse.
Pour the lemon juice over the salad.
Peel and pit the avocados, drop onto the salad, and begin to massage the avocados into the greens until it’s completely worked into the greens. This is fun but wash your hands well before this because no one wants their salad tasting like butt crack.
Chop the tomatoes into 1/2 inch or so pieces, add into the salad and mix.
Eat as much as you want of it, or as much as you can possibly fit into your stomach, since it’s all raw, has no salt or oil, and only good kinds of fat (from the avocado). Not to mention it’s delicious.
