When I was a kid, I used to love fruit roll ups and fruit leather and whatnot, but for some reason I hadn’t had any of those delicious treats until recently. My friends at Matt’s Munchies sent me over a sampling of their products to try and review, and after one bite I was transported back to the days of “Thundercats” lunchboxes and thermoses. I realized I’d been missing out in a big way these past 18 or so years, because these things were ridiculously delicious.
The best part about Matt’s Munchies is their lack of ingredients. Most of the flavors they have only consist of two or three ingredients, and the mango flavor only consists of one. Mango puree. That’s it. I have no idea how they do it. I remember all that other fruit leather stuff had all kinds of chemicals I couldnt pronounce in them. Each package of Matt’s Munchies is roughly 40-70 calories and is a great mid-day snack or something to bring along while traveling. My favorite flavors were the Apple Pie, the Island Mango, and the Chili Chocolate (yes it works, trust me). Check out their website to find out where they’re sold around you and do yourself a favor; reconnect with your childhood and pick some up.
