Last night I experimented with a couple foods I hadn’t eaten in a while and it worked out pretty well, but first I made a new kind of juice from the ReBoot recipe book. The ingredients were as follows:
- 1 Lemon
- 1 Lime
- 2 Green Apples
- 2 Asian Pears
- 2 cups red cabbage
- 2 carrots
I’d never made a juice with that much fruit before, but damn it was good. My fianceé even liked it too.
For dinner, I had:
- Papaya chunks with lime juice
- Baked Plantain Chips
- Raw Collard Greens Salad with Sweet Onions, Plum Tomatoes, Lemon Juice, and a bit of olive oil and brown rice syrup (you can use maple too, or agave)
Super simple, super easy to make, and super cheap.
This morning I didn’t feel like making my own juice, so I had my standard hot water with lemon and then had my favorite quick mashed banana with shredded carrots, dates, and raisins. Then I went to Whole Foods on the way to work and picked up a 16oz juice with:
We’ll see if that holds me over until lunch. The only time I’ve been finding I get really hungry feeling is mid-morning, but hopefully those are just residual food or alcohol withdrawal symptoms and will start to dissipate.
