Sometimes I feel like I’m Neo in the Matrix. No, not because I believe I can bend spoons with my mind and dodge bullets (those are other problems I’ll have to get professional help to deal with). It’s because ever since I “woke up” and understood the damaging effects of animal protein on the human body and also the miraculous powers of plant-based foods, I look around me and see people unknowingly eating foods that come from the science labs and slaughterhouses of huge companies, with CEOs and other executives that sit on health panels and manipulate the outcomes of health studies to make their products look good, driven to make money at all costs, even if that cost is the general population’s healthy life expectancy. If only those people could be woken up and see how the foods they are eating are affecting their bodies in the short and long term, then we could finally defeat the sentient beings that run Tyson Chicken. Maybe I’ll go buy a black trenchcoat and some sweet shades.
As for those of you who are toying with the idea of trying a nutrient-dense, whole food, mostly raw, plant-based diet, take the red pill. See how deep the rabbit hole goes.
Sometimes I think about being other Keanu Reeve’s characters, particularly Johnny Utah or Ted Theodore Logan, but I’ll save those thoughts for another post.
