It was my last night in DC and I was craving an enormous salad and some fresh juice from Whole Foods, so I headed over to the store on P street near DuPont Circle that I had been to a few months back. Although the salad bar was amazing (way better than the ones we have here in LA, what gives?), I was devastated that they didn’t have a juice bar there. As I am like to do, I nicely complained to the check out lady who shared my sentiments and pointed me in the direction of a place that made fresh juices right down the street called Cafe Green. Little did I know there was much more in the way of delicious vegan food available there and I was kind of pissed at myself that I’d eaten such a big salad. However, I did get a green juice and I tried one of their banana-cashew sundaes, and it was fantastic. The whole staff was very friendly and the place was clean and well designed. I’m definitely going to have to head back there on an empty stomach next time I’m in the District.
